I’ve only seen Charthouse go off once and that was during one of the many epic storms/swells in winter ’09. It was just after 4 straight days of torrential downpour, there was only one guy out there. He probably contracted Hep but dude was getting seriously barreled on that right.

Mostly in hibernation, Chart House does occasionally have it’s days in the sun. Or rain actually, as many of the better days are during winter storm surf when that section of coast is sheltered from the wind an still gets the long period (or short period) groundswell. Can be a really fun wave though, mini Snapper Rocks comparison I’d say.
